Since 2025, Slurm Comics has been operating as a full-service creative
studio and independent publishing
house. We have assembled a team
of specialists covering the entire production pipeline — from scriptwriting to print-ready preparation.
This approach allows us to maintain
a consistently high-quality work
while managing both independent author-driven projects and large-scale commercial projects for media
companies and brands.
In just a few years, we have launched
our own comic book line, including
an official collaboration with Yuri Khovansky dedicated to the anniversary of the music video “Batya in the
Building.” We are also developing our original comic series “St. Petersburg Mutants: Turtle Brothers.” In addition, together with Alpaca Publishing,
we created graphic novellas for
Tank Blitz, collaborated with the HookahPlace network, and worked
with clients from France, Germany,
the UAE, and other countries.
«Для меня арт-дирекшн — это не просто
контроль картинки. Важно, чтобы весь проект работал как единое произведение: визуально, эмоционально и по атмосфере. Именно
поэтому я стараюсь лично курировать
каждый проект внутри студии».
Founder and Art Director of Slurm Comics, illustrator and writer with more than six years of experience in commercial illustration and comics. He has collaborated with major bloggers, publishers, and brands, including Utopia Show, Yuri Khovansky, Bubble, Alpaca, and TNT.
Every studio project passes through Egor’s hands —
from the initial discussions and visual concepts to the final
result and quality control at every stage of production.
“My goal is to ensure smooth, transparent,
and stress-free collaboration between
the client and the team. Creativity is important,
but great production also relies on strong organization.”
Alexandra oversees client communication, project management,
and the entire organizational side of the studio’s workflow —
from contracts and approvals to final project delivery.
“I like artwork that feels alive and a little
rebellious. Even in commercial projects,
I always try to preserve personality, emotion,
and the feeling that the work was created
by a human — not a conveyor belt.”
Daria works in commercial illustration, print design, and concept art.
She has contributed to children’s books, board games,
coloring books, and commercial projects, and previously
worked as a 2D artist at X-Flow Studio.
“I love stories with atmosphere and attention
to detail. For me, it’s important that the visuals

“As Uspenskaya once told me, ‘God gave me
good taste.’ I have a strong sensitivity to colors
and shades. It’s very important to me that
the visuals never feel loud or excessive,
but still remain stylish and elegant.”

feel alive and complete.”

to the reader. My job is to make sure the story
flows naturally and every page
works exactly as the author intended.”

10 Years Later, and commercial projects for HookahPlace.
“I love design that combines precision
with personality. For me, it’s important
that visuals feel alive, stay memorable,
and evoke emotions rather than simply
being beautiful images.”
