BATYA IN THE
BUILDING
An official comic created in collaboration with Yuri Khovansky
to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic video Batya in the
Building. Our team has been working with Yuri since 2021, producing a wide range of projects together: from thumbnails and social media branding to merchandise and commercial artwork.

The original idea for the comic came entirely from our team, while Yuri acted as the project’s editor-in-chief. The script was written by Egor Kosykh, and the final line art was created by Sergey Ark, known for the comic series Society of Bats and Russians vs Lizards. The coloring was done by Sadora, one of the most well-known colorists in the Russian comic community.
This was not our first collaboration. We have previously worked together on adaptations of the comics Meta Dude and Meta Dude: Confession. Formats like this allow comic universes to grow beyond print and evolve into complete multimedia experiences capable of reaching entirely new audiences.
In collaboration with Dillyframe Games, we developed
an interactive graphic novel with gameplay elements as an expansion of the original story. The project was designed for readers who prefer digital experiences or want a new way to engage with the narrative.

The project includes six mini-games across different genres: from quizzes and interactive story scenes to a fully playable shooter segment.
HOOKAH
PLACE
In 2025, together with Black Ji, we produced a comic series for the Dubaibased hookah lounge chain HookahPlace. The project explored the story of the brand’s founder, Anton Gaivoronsky, presented
through a dark noir-inspired visual style in which the protagonist confronts his own alter ego while expanding his franchise empire.

Collaborations like these help brands stand out visually while also creating engaging entertainmentdriven content for their audience. We are always open to working with international clients and enjoy
transforming unconventional ideas
into fully realized visual projects.
This section showcases how comic pages look during the final line art stage — one of the key phases of comic production, where rough sketches are transformed into polished illustrations.
It is at this stage that character anatomy, scene detail, atmosphere, and page readability
fully take shape.

A limited-edition collection of metal pins designed in collaboration with EDGE Studio and released exclusively for the launch of the comic book series “Piter Mutants Turtle Brothers”.
In 2026, Slurm Comics launched its own comic book line, “Petersburg Mutants: The Turtle Brothers” - a dark yet ironic story inspired by the aesthetics of Saint Petersburg, urban mythology, and underground street culture.

For the release of the series, an expanded merchandise line was developed in collaboration with the EDGE comic store, including posters, pins, art prints, collectible materials, and figurines.

The project was created with a focus not only on the artistic direction, but also on building a complete brand system - from the visual language and character design to the collectible line and additional products. This comprehensive approach to the launch helped exceed the planned crowdfunding campaign targets by more than 500%, demonstrating strong audience interest and the potential for further expansion of the universe.
We create designs for T-shirts, hoodies, posters,
packaging, and other merchandise — from the initial
concept and sketch to fully production-ready artwork.

All materials are prepared according to professional
print standards: we work in vector formats, use CMYK color
profiles, and deliver high-resolution files suitable for
highquality printing across any medium.

Over the years, we have collaborated extensively with print
studios and manufacturers, giving us a deep understanding
of production workflows and technical limitations. This allows
us to avoid issues during manufacturing and consistently
deliver reliable, high-quality results for both limited editions
and large-scale commercial merchandise.
Over the years, the Slurm Comics team has created hundreds of comic
covers. We believe a cover is the face of a project and the audience’s
very first interaction with the story. It must capture attention instantly,
establish atmosphere, and remain memorable at first glance.

For us, cover art is not simply a beautiful illustration — it is a powerful
storytelling and marketing tool. A successful cover should spark
curiosity, communicate the tone of the story, and motivate readers
to pick up the comic or engage with your product.
META
DUDE
For our team, this project became especially
meaningful: Meta Dude was the very first full-scale
comic published by Slurm Comics, while our
collaboration with Alpaca marked an important
milestone in the studio’s growth.
In 2022, the project received a full comic adaptation published by Alpaca. To accompany the release, a limited merchandise collection was created together with the EDGE comic store, including posters and collectible postcards.

In 2023, the sequel Meta Dude: Confession was released, expanding the series with a more mature narrative, deeper character development, and an updated visual style with a richer and more
dynamic presentation.
In 2021, Slurm Comics collaborated with a Czech studio to release the NFT collection Meta Dude, dedicated to superheroes living in a metaverse-inspired world. The project offered a satirical take on modern internet culture, digital addiction, online behavior, and the absurdity of virtual spaces — all through the language of comics of comic book aesthetics.
We are always open to collaborations with media platforms, festivals, brands, and venues looking for more than just visual content — but a complete interactive experience for their audience. The Slurm Comics team can organize lectures, creative meetups, comic presentations, interactive audience activities, photo zones, and custom live events tailored specifically to your project or venue.

We love ambitious ideas and are never afraid to experiment
with formats. To us, comics are not limited to printed pages
and illustrations - they are part of a larger media experience
that can evolve into a show, exhibition, photoshoot, or an entire live event built around a project.

by the Slurm Comics team over the past several years. The section includes both original titles andcommercial
releases produced for various publishers, brands,
and comic series.
В 2022 году проект получил полноценную комикс-
адаптацию и был выпущен издательством Alpaca.
